Pot Trumps
How do you embarrass your local council into fixing the City’s diabolical pot hole problem? By making them too famous to ignore.

Pot Trumps made Chelmsford’s pot holes into a card game. With ratings for depth, danger, width and the mysterious ‘Pot Trumps rating’.
Each card featured a pot hole, a location and a witty description. What started as personal project soon had fans submitting their own problem pot holes from the city.

Pot Trumps was featured on BBC One prime time The One Show, on radio phone-ins, in tabloid print and the local press.
The Nation was tired of pot holes, and this execution captured the zeitgiest of rage at ragged roads.

Other cities with patchy roads created their own versions of Pot Trumps (fully approved and endorsed by me!) with their own Instagram pages.
The original Chelmsford set was auctioned to raise funds for the local Food Bank. The remaining cards were donated to Chelmsford Museum for future generations to enjoy.
